Glen possesses more than 45 years of private equity, corporate finance and commercial banking experience. He founded Mayfield & Robinson, Inc. in 1978. This firm specialized in merchant banking activities and in corporate finance and business advisory services targeting firms in the Midwest. His success in these endeavors led to the formation of River Cities Capital Funds in 1994, which Glen co-founded with his partner Ted Robinson.
Previous to his corporate finance and venture capital career, Glen was a Vice President of The First National Bank of Cincinnati (now part of U.S. Bank), specializing in commercial lending to a diverse portfolio of companies spanning many industries and all stages of development. He had earlier served in a marketing and sales capacity with Armstrong World Industries. Glen holds a B.A. from DePauw University. Following college, Glen served with the United States Marine Corps, obtaining the rank of Captain.
Glen has invested in and served on the Boards of Directors of more than 20 companies, both public and private. Among Glen’s numerous community activities are his prior service as Chairman of the Board of The Christ Hospital Health Network and Chairman of the DePauw University Board of Visitors. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of the Elizabeth Gamble Deaconess Homes Association, a major foundation dedicated to the improving healthcare in the greater Cincinnati region.
