Building Engines Launches Partner Network to Create the First Comprehensive Building Operations Ecosystem for Commercial Real Estate

Building Engines, the leading provider of building operations software for modern commercial real estate (CRE), has launched a comprehensive Partner Network. The Network is comprised of technical partners that offer various levels of integration into Building Engines’ new building operations software platform, Prism, as well as vendor partners that offer best-of-breed services, such as cleaning, carpentry, landscaping, and roofing to CRE property owners and operators. The Partner Network will play a central role the growth of Building Engines as it executes its build, partner and buy strategy.

Today, many CRE owners and operators struggle with tech stacks that are overly-complicated and require multiple log ins and replicating data sets across systems. Evaluating, selecting, implementing and managing additional point solutions that focus on solving a single problem further complicates the technical environment. To make matters worse, many legacy systems in CRE have a closed system architecture and are not able to easily integrate with other solutions.

To solve these challenges, owners and operators are beginning to standardize on modern, cloud-based systems that have an open architecture to facilitate data flows between key systems. With the Partner Network, Building Engines customers can access a robust ecosystem of solution partners to digitally transform their business, while simplifying their technical environments.

Particularly during these challenging times, CRE owners and operators are hesitant to adopt new solutions or services without clear value and minimal disruptions to their teams. This hesitation has made it exceptionally challenging for useful technical solutions and valuable services to gain traction with CRE owners and operators. The Building Engines Partner Network brings together the largest CRE consortium of buyers and sellers of CRE technology and service to help accelerate mutual growth through value-oriented solutions.

There are currently two Partner Network types, providing an array of options for both customers and service providers to use the Network in a way that works for their needs, including:

  • Technology partner—allows companies to offer unique ability for Building Engines customers to extend Prism with their product capabilities. Technology partners can either be API partners—increasing implementation and adoption speed with access to APIs and data sets through Prism, Certified partners, where the partner product is integrated with Prism and works to deliver a seamless shared-user experience for mutual customers, or a Listing partner.
  • Vendor partner—part of Prism’s RFP automation module, a vendor partner can easily find quality opportunities, submit an RFP and track details and status of the proposal to streamline the process and win jobs. Vendor partners can also be promotional in nature, which provides them with a listing in the Partner Network directory, enabling easy discovery by property teams for a solution with a direct connection to the company.
