Ifbyphone Ranks Among the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For™ in the Country

Qualified and talented employees are essential to a company’s success, and if that company is smart then it strives to keep these employees as it attempts to build a better, stronger business. Those companies that do it the best have been named National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For winners for 2013. This year, after ranking on the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in Chicago list three years running, Ifbyphone makes the national list.

The winning companies were assessed by an independent research firm, which reviewed a number of key measures relative to other nationally recognized winners. They include Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment, Selection and Orientation; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance; Community Initiatives; Strategic Company Performance.

At a time when Ifbyphone’s growth continues to accelerate, adding on to an existing base of over 3,800 customers, they continue to emphasize the importance of hiring the right people. As of November 2013, Ifbyphone has processed over 200 million phone calls and nearly 400 million minutes, growing at a rate of 150% per year. They currently employee over 80 of Chicago’s brightest minds and have plans to add 25 more to their staff in early 2014.

“Traditionally businesses have viewed their employees as working for the company, but at Ifbyphone we see our team as working with the company,” says Irv Shapiro, CEO of Ifbyphone. “A great company, one that lasts, treats its staff as owners, not drones.”

It is certainly that mentality that has contributed to the Best and Brightest success of Ifbyphone. With an unlimited vacation policy, free drinks, snacks, and recreation, plus a lot of internal mobility as far as career paths go, Ifbyphone keeps the happiness of its employees at the forefront of their mission.

“Nationally recognized award recipients keep innovative human resource initiatives at the forefront of their company culture and make it a priority to consider their workforce as an essential aspect in their company success,” said Jennifer Kluge, National Association for Business Resources President, which presents the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For™ program.
