Trax Technologies Appoints Gregory Vesper As Chief Product Officer

Trax Technologies, a Scottsdale-based company that delivers logistics settlement services to global shippers and transportation carriers, has appointed Gregory W. Vesper to the role of chief product officer.

“Greg will take our industry-leading SaaS platform to a higher level of performance,” said J. Scott Nelson, president and chief executive officer of Trax Technologies, Inc. “We’ve been offering our products and services to the world’s largest shippers for 20 years. Now it’s time to scale these capabilities to enable faster adoption for the industry and faster growth for Trax,” Nelson said.

“I joined Trax,” Vesper said, “because of the strength of the commercial opportunity, the depth of the company’s intellectual property, its compelling thought leadership, and the strength of its board and management team. Trax is a world-class opportunity in a market poised for rapid growth.”

Vesper began his career as a technologist at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), where he created the Internet’s first business-to-business electronic commerce system. He helped bootstrap Cyclone Commerce, later acquired by Axway (NYSE: AXW.PA). He went on to create a patented software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for medical imaging applications.

Vesper holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in computer science from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts degree from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
