2025 Operator Summit Recap
We had the pleasure of hosting more than 70 healthcare executives from around the country in Cincinnati for our annual Healthcare Operator Summit. The event provided a valuable opportunity for our portco leaders, operator network, and trusted advisors to connect, share insights, and learn from one another.
L.E.K.’s Stuart Jackson and IIya Trakhtenberg kicked off the Summit by sharing insights from their book Predictable Winners.
“A Sharper You: A Fireside Chat” featured executive coach Becky Sharpe in conversation with two RC Capital portfolio company leaders—Sherry Bunce, COO Endodontic Practice Partners and Mitesh Amin, CEO AlignedCardio—as well as RC’s Rob Heimann. The Panel discussed valuable learnings from utilizing the Culture Index as a leadership team and Becky held office hours to review the results of their assessments.
The “State of the Healthcare Market and PE Value Creation” session was led by Dr. Jeet Guram of McKinsey & Company. Jeet walked through value creation case studies in healthcare, while also providing an overview of expected healthcare policy shifts under the new administration, including reduced federal subsidies, expanded Medicare privatization and risk-sharing, and greater consumer choice through deregulation.
We also held Exit Preparation Strategy sessions where we discussed the current M&A environment in healthcare. Ben Port and Jason Porter from Baird’s Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group led the overview on the current Healthcare Services market.
And Peter Harrison from Morgan Stanley led a discussion on the M&A and capital markets environment in MedTech.
Sanchit Mullick and Andrew Bravo from Reveal HealthTech led a session on leveraging AI in portfolio company value creation, specifically for healthcare-focused growth companies. With so much hype being promoted in the market, how should healthcare executives evaluate AI for tangible ROI?

The day concluded over dinner with RCC’s Limited Partners and featured a presentation from our friend, Michael Haugen, Partner at ghSMART & Company, LLC. Michael presented the ghSMART A Method, a proven framework for hiring top talent. The method focuses on five key steps—Scorecard, Source, Select, Sell, and Start—to help organizations clearly define role expectations, leverage trusted referrals, conduct structured interviews, deliver a compelling candidate experience, and ensure strong onboarding and early success.
A critical topic for RCC, the lively presentation kept the audience entertained with humorous examples of how broken hiring processes often result in poor decisions.
