Brentwood-based Inspiris Sells to UnitedHealth Group Arm
OptumHealth, a subsidiary of insurance giant UnitedHealth Group, bought Inspiris for an undisclosed sum on March 10, said OptumHealth spokesman Chuck Grothaus.
“There’ll be no real changes in terms of management,” Grothaus said.
Inspiris CEO Mike Tudeen could not immediately be reached for comment.
Founded in 1998, Inspiris provides care and care management to the frail elderly population. The company partners with individual health plans to provide acute, post-acute, custodial and hospice-care programs for Medicare Advantage health plan members.
Tudeen told Nashville Medical News in October that Inspiris expected to work with between 40,000 and 50,000 patients in 22 states last year. The company has more than 375 employees nationwide, half of which are clinicians.
