CEO and co-founder of TaskEasy, the only nationwide automated lawn care app, awarded Utah 2018 Entrepreneur Of The Year award
Ernst & Young announced Monday that Ken Davis, CEO and co-founder of TaskEasy, the only nationwide online platform for automated lawn care, won the Business Services category at the 2018 Entrepreneur Of The Year Utah Region Awards. As the world’s most prestigious business awards program for entrepreneurs, Entrepreneur Of The Year recognizes business leaders who excel in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Ken Davis was selected by a panel of independent judges, and the award was presented at a special black tie Gala on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
“It is a big honor to win this award,” Davis said. “It wouldn’t be possible without the hard-working and dedicated team members at the company, as well as the thousands of lawn care providers in cities and towns across the U.S. that perform work for TaskEasy. Every day, we each strive to deliver the best service possible to those who want lawn care without a hassle. This award is for everyone at TaskEasy; it’s so exciting to be part of this rocketship company, and there are many more amazing things to come.”
TaskEasy is a hyperlocal technology-driven services provider that was the first in the country to offer automated lawn care and exterior maintenance on a national level. The company’s mission is to make time-consuming yard care as easy and accessible as online shopping, while helping local landscaping businesses and independent lawn care entrepreneurs with growth opportunities. TaskEasy’s proprietary software establishes fair market pricing for these services in all 50 states, meaning that TaskEasy’s customers and lawn care professionals don’t have to haggle on price and can instead focus on quality delivery of services.
Since its launch in April 2013, TaskEasy has been doubling in growth every year and performed over one million tasks in over 12,000 cities across the U.S. while establishing a network of more than 10,000 screened and insured professionals. During this time of dramatic nationwide growth across both consumer and service provider networks, Davis has kept the TaskEasy team’s core values of mindfulness, transparency, kindness and agility intact, and the company’s unique culture remains his main focus. In the U.S. tech industry where female talent is generally underrepresented, TaskEasy strives for equality, and over 51 percent of headquarters employees are women holding general and leadership positions.
In its 32nd year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities and more than 60 countries throughout the world. To learn more about the Utah program, please visit www.ey.com/us/eoy/utah_region.
