Former ExactTarget CFO Steve Collins Joins Ifbyphone’s Board of Directors
Ifbyphone, the leader in voice-based marketing automation, today announced the appointment of Steve Collins to its Board of Directors.
Collins, the former Chief Financial Officer of digital marketing pioneer ExactTarget (acquired by salesforce.com in 2013) brings more than 20 years of experience leading finance teams of high growth market leaders to Ifbyphone’s board.
During his tenure with ExactTarget, Collins served as a key leader in driving the company’s rapid growth, including completing a successful initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in 2012. Collins also oversaw the completion of several acquisitions, including ExactTarget’s acquisition of marketing automation provider Pardot, and assisted in ExactTarget’s pivotal acquisition by salesforce.com, the world’s largest provider of customer relationship management (CRM) software. This experience makes him a strong fit for Ifbyphone, whose voice-based marketing automation solution is revolutionizing marketing automation by putting the control of voice applications in the hands of sales and marketing instead of IT.
“Steve’s invaluable experience and keen insights into the challenges and possibilities of the marketing automation and digital marketing software space make him a fantastic addition to our board,” said Irv Shapiro, CEO of Ifbyphone. “His move further validates what our 4,000 active customers have already proven, that Ifbyphone’s voice-based marketing automation solution has become a pivotal technology for marketing and sales teams to fuel explosive growth by controlling, measuring and optimizing voice, the most lucrative sales channel.”
Prior to ExactTarget, Collins served as SVP and CFO of NAVTEQ Corporation, a leading Chicago-based digital mapping provider with over $1 billion in annual revenue. Collins played a key role in NAVTEQ’s 2004 IPO on the New York Stock Exchange and its 2008 acquisition by Nokia for $8.1 billion. Prior to NAVTEQ, Collins co-founded a venture capital firm and held several financial leadership positions with The Walt Disney Company. Collins holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
“Ifbyphone provides a vital and unique service within the sales and marketing clouds, and I am thrilled to join their board,” said Collins. “With so much of a company’s success dependent on voice and phone interactions, marketing and sales teams can no longer afford to neglect the call channel. Ifbyphone’s solution gives them the power to optimize voice to acquire more revenue faster over the phone.”
