MindPath Care Centers Welcomes Dr. E. Elise Herman As Regional Medical Director

MindPath Care Centers, North Carolina’s largest outpatient mental and behavioral healthcare provider, is pleased to announce that E. Elise Herman, M.D., has joined the organization as Regional Medical Director of Western North Carolina, working out of MindPath’s Charlotte office in SouthPark.  A creative thinker and developer, team leader, and dedicated clinical psychiatrist, she was recently chosen by her peers as one of the top three psychiatric leaders in Charlotte. In addition to ensuring the delivery of top-quality psychiatric patient care Dr. Herman will also oversee the expansion of MindPath’s services in Western NC, including the introduction of TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) services and the extension of the MindPath Addiction and Recovery Center (ARC) into the local market in the near future.

Prior to joining MindPath Care Centers, Dr. Herman worked at Novant Health, as a Senior Physician Executive, Psychiatry Division Chief Neurosciences and Psychiatry Institute, and Clinical Physician Executive, Charlotte Market Behavioral Health Service Line.

Dr. Herman is Board Certified with the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and received The National Institute of Mental Health Outstanding Resident Award and AADPRT/George Ginsberg Fellowship Award.

Dr. Herman attended Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and Duke University Hospital for her postdoctoral training in adult psychiatry.  She graduated from Loma Linda University with a Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Public Health degree in Global Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology-Chemistry from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.
